Of all the calls and email we receive from affiliates each week, perhaps our favorites are the ones we get from new affiliates when that first order comes through their website. That first one is always the ice-breaker. It's the one that tells you that "hey, this actually works!" I think we get just as excited about it as all of you do because we know exactly where you are coming from and how it feels when it happens. That is what I call the "new affiliate adrenalin rush."
I thought about that this morning because five new affiliates have called or emailed us this week excited about their first orders happening. It reminds me of when we first began offering our online Rx program for affiliates. We spent endless hours and a lot of money on the development of the program. It took us nearly one and a half years to get everything completed. Then came D-Day and it was finally time to push it out of the nest and let it take flight.
After a morning meeting with our programmers and support team to go over our preflight checklist, we set it live and our Rx affiliate program was officially online. I remember feeling a little anxiety, and hearing that voice in the back of my mind that kept saying: "I know this should be a good program, but I want to see that first order." Having been through this same process with the launch of of other home business programs over the years, we knew what to anticipate. But when that first order came in, we felt the rush too! Of course, that was many years ago, but like they say: you never forget your first.
We remember well the uplifting effect those first orders create when you are new to our program and so we can appreciate first-hand how you feel. That being said, our Congratulations to Chuck, Ida, Kristine, Larry and Bill on their icebreakers, keep it up gang - it gets better every day as visits to your websites increase, so enjoy the ride ahead and welcome to our family.
