I woke up around 5 a.m. this morning thinking about some of the most positive aspects of our Rx home business affiliate program. One of the first things that popped into my mind was the term "residual income." It most likely popped into my head this morning because it occurred to me last night that there are quite a few people who do not necessarily know what residual income is all about and why it is such an important part of a good home based business.
In case you are not familiar with the term "residual income" and just how hugely important it is when choosing a home business to join, I thought I'd take this opportunity to explain it. Residual income is an income that you keep getting paid over and over again every week for work that you did one time. In other words, it would be like working one week at your job, and then that one week of work kept producing income for you every week for years to come.
I don't know what you do at your day job, but I would imagine that whatever it is, it probably does not produce residual income for you. Most every job is based on an hourly wage or weekly salary. You work "x" number of hours and you get an hourly wage or salary of "x" amount for the work you do each week. Then, you repeat the process each week and get the same wage or salary for the hours you work that week. But the hours you worked last week don't keep producing income for you in weeks ahead, do they?
A simple example of a business that is centered around residual income is the insurance industry. An insurance agent puts in a couple hours of work to provide an insurance policy for a new client. From that point on, the agent is paid a repeating commission for that policy every month for as long as that customer is insured by his/her company. I use insurance agents as an example because I have a good friend who has been in the business for 25 years and makes an excellent income because his base of customer policies keep paying him a great commission every month.
This very same principle applies to our Rx home based business program. Every minute of time and effort that you put into it creates a potential residual income that you keep getting paid over and over again for work that you did just one time. The reason for this is that we are in an industry in which people consume the products and then reorder them over and over again. Often times, people taking prescribed medications refill their prescriptions monthly, often for life. Because we pay you every time they refill their orders, you keep making money over and over again. Being a person who has been working in residual income businesses for 32 years, I can't understand how anyone would work at any job that only pays them one time for their effort, unless they just did not know any better. It is like this: if given a choice, would you choose to work at a job that paid you just one time for each hour you put in, or would you rather have a job that pays you over and over again for that time? It would be like your employer telling you: "if you will work one hour this week, I will pay you $50 for that one hour of work and then I'll pay you $50 every week for the next ten years for that one hour of your time." Who wouldn't want that job!
I've been involved in residual income businesses for over 32 years and I can tell you without hesitation that I would never work in any business that does not include a residual income. Call me greedy, but getting paid over and over again for work I do one time makes a lot more sense to me than punching a time clock for an hourly wage that I only get paid one time; yuck!
In the event that you were not familiar with the term "residual income" before, or just how important residual income is when you are running a home business of your own, I hope this has helped you to better understand the importance of it to your long term income. Our Rx program is centered on the principle of a residual income that keeps growing every month and I welcome you to join us and start building a residual income of your own today.
